Backstory

  BIOGRAPHY    For Elaine, growing up in the Swan Clan was a life filled with opportunities to learn at every corner. Every corner within the clan's territory, that was. It is well-known that shifters are not welcomed in most spaces of the world and her parents sought to protect her from what the world had to say about Shifters. Within the confines of the Avian Clan, she read and read until not a single page was left unturned. She had one particular reading topic of interest and that was the subject history. The history of how the Shifters were cast aside by The Painter to the history of lands far away. She also greatly enjoyed music. She sang for the Avian clan during gatherings and festivals to unite them all in the face of trying times. After learning of The Painter's disgraceful actions, she figured she would have to be her own "painter." As to say, she would write her own history and "paint" a better future for the Avian clan and all shifters alike. To have been blessed with a cathedral's worth of knowledge and not be able to go see what it was those authors wrote of in their books was, in her opinion, unjust. So she flew. In search of more knowledge, experiences, and allies. If the facts of the matter couldn't unite, then the undeniable connection of music would be her guide. She tells stories through her music to encourage connections from all different types of people. Elaine traveled to many lands and even made return visits to places she'd made strong bonds. As she traveled and sang she gained the nickname "The Songbird". Her next stop: Sanctuary.
